It is a journey to the core of your existence, by practicing some easy and natural ways.

Body scan

The Body Scan meditation gives high levels of awareness to each part of the body. You need to lie down in a calm and cozy place. There should be no disturbance of any type. Start scanning your body slowly, starting from the top.

Concentrate on your head first. Slowly go down the neck, shoulders, arms, fingers, chest and so on. Notice areas where you feel tension or stiffness.

Let your body sink to the ground and release the tension or stiffness into the ground. You will feel immensely relaxed and energetic after the Body Scan Meditation.

Breath Focus

The breathing process is the fundamental one for our existence. In Yoga, you can control the thoughts and achieve a peaceful mind by concentrating on breathing.

At Smita’s Yogmantra you learn this easy but incredibly effective meditation technique. Sit in a comfortable position and observe the breathing. Let it be slow and relaxed inhaling and exhaling through the nose.

You will see that as the breathing slows down, the thoughts in your mind will reduce. If the mind wanders, then bring it back to the breath.

Focusing on the breath is a fantastic meditation technique with immense powers.

Mantra Repetition

Mantra is a concise set of words with great powers. Think of a short calming phrase and repeat it for 10 to 15 minutes. Concentrate on the chanting and forget about all other thoughts. You will feel highly relaxed after a Mantra Repetition session.

Guided Imagery

It is like Mantra Repetition. You need to think about an image that makes you happy and peaceful. You can imagine anything of your choice.
